Individual Therapy
We specialize in individual therapy for children and adolescents with a wide variety of presenting concerns. Our areas of expertise include depression, anxiety disorders, emotion regulation and executive functioning difficulties, anger management, relationship issues, emerging borderline personality disorder, suicidality and self-harm, and complex trauma. Dr. Glaser and most of her team have received extensive training in dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Our treatment approach integrates DBT, CBT, and mindfulness. We use a strength-based approach that is targeted, collaborative, individualized, flexible, and inclusive. Therapy is a safe space, and we welcome clients with diverse gender identities, sexual orientations, and racial and cultural backgrounds. Our team has an ongoing curiosity to learn and grow as clinicians, and we continually strive to refine our knowledge of evidence based treatment modalities to best meet the needs of our clients.
Group Therapy
We specialize in group therapy for issues related to mood, anxiety, and emotion regulation. Our child CBT groups are facilitated by a psychologist and run for 10 weeks. We are also running a virtual webinar series for parents and caregivers of children and teens with anxiety. See more information below, and email us to inquire about start dates and/or availability.
Parenting Support
Our staff offer parenting support sessions to help caregivers learn how to manage their child’s emotions and any challenging behaviours. Sessions are individual, but occasional group seminar offerings may be offered. Please contact us for current program.
Psychological & Psychoeducational Assessments
We also provide comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents. These can include testing for giftedness, learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Assessments can be customized based on individual needs. Typically, testing is conducted with one of our skilled psychometrists.
